RULES

  1. Common rules

    1. The games will start at 9.00am.
    2. Each team will have 8 members (for Cricket and volleyball, 6 players and 2 reserves players and for football and basketball 5 players and 3 reserves).
    3. As agreed with the batch representatives, Shadow players are not awarded medals.
    4. At the start of the games, if the respective 5 or 6 final players are not present, that team will be disqualified and the opponent team will be given a walk over to the next round.
    5. During the games, the team members cannot be exchanged and if there has been such an act, that team will be disqualified.
    6. If there is a tie between teams, a tie breaker will be imposed according to the game.
    7. If tie breaker results a tie, the winners of the match will be decided by a toss of a coin.
    8. Referees and umpires call is final on games.
    9. In case of any disputes, the final decision will be reached in consultation with the committee.
      1. Management reserve the right to change match timings based on natural factors such as weather.

  2. Cricket

    1. Each team will be given 5 overs and each over will have 4 balls (20 balls).
    2. This is a six a side match.
    3. 5 ballers should ball (One baller per over).
    4. In the final over, the last ball must be a legal ball.
    5. Each team player can play only one over as a baller.
    6. During the games, the team members cannot be exchanged and if there has been such an act, that team will be disqualified.
    7. If there is a tie between teams, a Super Over will decide the winner.
      1. Any player from the team can take the chance to put the Super Over.

  3. Football

    1. There will be 5 players a team.
    2. A game will last for 12 minutes.
    3. If there is a tie between the teams, penalties (kick off) will be awarded to break the tie.
      1. Any plyer from the team can take the chance to score the penalty goal.

  4. Basketball

    1. There will be 5 players a team.
    2. If there is a tie between teams, shootings will be awarded to break the tie.

  5. Volleyball Rules and Regulations

    1. There will be 6 players playing for a team.
    2. Best of 3 will decide the winning team from a match.

Vehicle Parade

RULES

  • Drivers participating for the Vehicle Parade valid Driving License,
    Valid Revenue License and Valid Insurance Policy.
  • All vehicles participating in the Vehicle Parade must be registered with Driver's and Vehicle's details through an OBA representative prior to the start of the event. It is compulsory to purchase and display the Vehicle Parade sticker on the vehicle.
  • Anyone riding motorcycle / scooter or similar vehicle must wear a helmet at all times during the Parade.
  • Reckless driving that endangers the safety of others is prohibited. The common rules and regulations enforced by the police during a parade apply in addition to the rules and regulations described by the OBA.
  • The OBA Organizing committee will not hold any responsibility for theft, damages, or any issues that may occur to the vehicles or participants.
  • Displaying other brands or sponsorships is not allowed. A fee of LKR 20,000/- will be charged for brand displays, and permission from OBA Officials is required before the parade.
  • Political movement or canvassing to a political person or party is NOT permitted
